About French Riviera

The French Riviera, the Côte d'Azur, has been attracting the world's wealthy and creative for over a century. From a sailboat, it reveals a side that the landside visitor never sees: the unspoiled national park islands of the Hyères archipelago (Porquerolles, Port-Cros, and Île du Levant) just offshore from the glamorous coast; the natural bays and wild anchorages of the Massif des Maures opposite Saint-Tropez; the tiny glamorous harbour of Monaco by night. The contrast is the Riviera's great gift to the sailor: sophistication and wilderness within the same day's sailing. Saint-Tropez has a yacht harbour that becomes one of the world's most watched stages in summer. And then there is Monaco, its Port Hercule ringed by Formula One barriers every May, its quayside lined with superyachts year-round.
