SailHorizon is a curated sailing charter company connecting travellers with the finest catamarans and the most beautiful waters of the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
We started SailHorizon because we saw the same things go wrong again and again. Charters booked through huge operators where no one really knows the boat, the route, or the client. Important details missed. Questions left unanswered. The feeling, for the guest, of being just another reservation.
We do it differently. We know these boats and these waters because we've sailed them ourselves, and whether it's your first time aboard or you've sailed all your life, our role stays the same: handle everything behind the scenes, so all you have to do is arrive and let the voyage begin.
Pedro
For me, sailing was never really a choice, it was in the blood. My mother is a sailing instructor, my uncle raced at three Olympic Games, and my grandfather was a naval engineer who once sailed a regatta from South Africa to Brazil. Growing up surrounded by that, there was never any chance I'd end up doing anything else.
After university, I took my first delivery, a yacht from Tunisia to France, followed by an Atlantic crossing from France to Grenada. From that moment, I never stopped. That was five years and more than 80,000 nautical miles.
Along the way, working inside the charter world, I saw what makes a trip seamless, what people are always missing, and how often the simplest things get overlooked. SailHorizon is my answer to all of it, sharing the thing I love most with the people who choose to come aboard.
Francisco
I came to sailing from a different direction, not through the water, but through a passion for new experiences. By training I'm a software engineer, drawn to adrenaline, the sea, and finding out what's beyond the horizon.
Pedro told me about all of this during a boat delivery we did together. Listening to him talk about the charters he'd been running, I could hear the passion in it, and just as quickly, I could see what could be fixed.
So that's where I come in. While Pedro is out on the water, I build the side of SailHorizon you don't see, the platform, the bookings, the details, so all you have to do is enjoy the sea.
