The Turkish Aegean coast: sailing overview

The "Turquoise Coast" stretches from Fethiye (Göcek Bay) to Antalya — approximately 400nm of navigable coastline with 100+ anchorages, most with holding depths of 5–15m over sand or mud. The gulet (traditional wooden motor-sailer) charter tradition developed here in the 1970s; today the region supports both gulet and modern yacht charter fleets. Prevailing summer wind: Meltem (NW, 12–22 knots). Charter season: April through October. Currency: Turkish Lira (TRY); marina fees typically quoted in Euros.

2026 Turkish coast availability

SailHorizon's Turkey fleet is now open for 2026 bookings from our Göcek, Bodrum, and Marmaris bases. Request a quote for itineraries including Gökova Bay, the Datça Peninsula, and the 12 Islands of Fethiye — all newly accessible via the expanded marina network.
